I wish I could highlight some text on a page, click a button, and tweet that text as a quote...

This started as a wish. It exists to make it super easy to tweet text found on webpages as quotes. It does so through a little magic behind a snazzy bookmark.

I want this, what do I do?

  1. Create this snazzy bookmark by dragging this TweetThisText to your bookmark bar.
  2. See text online you'd like to quote, highlight it, and click your TweetThisText button.
  3. We'll grab that text, create a custom page for the text, put quotes around it, give it a "..." treatment, insert your text in your "what are you doing" section of your twitter page. You click "update."

Quote text via this page.

Say you already have the text you want to tweet, use this form.

If you already made your bookmarklet, highlight the text below and click your new bookmark to give it a test run.

I just set up my TweetThisText button. Check it out! It lets you create a page to share quotes of greater than 140 characters and share the quote through twitter. From http://www.tweetthistext.com
